Dane D'Coeur strongly
believes in breeding only for the improvement of the breed and to only
breed Great Danes which are structurally and temperamentally sound. For
this reason we perform the breed specific requirements recommended by the
Canine Health Information Center, also known as CHIC.
The specific requirements for
the Great Dane are:
Hip Dysplasia testing by
either:
OFA evaluation,
PennHip evaluation,
OVC evaluation
(Canada) or
Eye Clearance by CERF
evaluation
Autoimmune thyroiditis
testing at an approved laboratory
Congential Cardiac
testing by OFA evaluation.

Recommended test are
preformed at the minimum age of 24 months or prior to any breeding
considerations.
